Bruce Crowe is an attorney with extensive business and construction experience prior to becoming a lawyer. For more than 30 years, he worked in the field as a construction manager on numerous heavy civil construction projects including the I-105 Century Freeway in Los Angeles County.
Bruce has also project managed a wide variety of construction project types such as parking structures, flood control channels and box culverts, schools, waste water treatment plants, reservoirs, docks, seawalls, retaining walls, paving, high rise and mid-rise buildings, dams, mine shafts and mine tunnel work, plus many Cal Trans projects for private contractors. He has owned his own business and served on the boards of directors of several non-profit corporations.
As an attorney, Bruce Crowe has served as in-house counsel for a large international corporation prominent in the forming, shoring and scaffolding industry and has represented many individual clients in construction disputes with resolution of these disputes ranging from mediated settlement to jury trial.
He has served as chairman of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy creditors’ committee representing the interests of over 200 creditors and Bruce was successful in getting significant recovery for the creditors and in getting the bankrupt business restructured into a state in which recovery was possible.
Bruce is especially experienced in negotiating settlements and resolving construction disputes and claims on both public and private works projects. He has also volunteered his time to the Public Law Center in Orange County and has been one of their volunteer bankruptcy counsel to the indigent.
